Terms of sale
These terms govern books ordered from Bookabra. By placing an order you accept them.
Last updated 1 January 2026. This is a demonstration project, not a live shop.
1. What you are buying
A personalised comic novel generated from the details you provide, supplied as a digital PDF and (if you choose a printed format) as a physical paperback or hardback. Each book is made to order for you and is not a stock item.
2. Your brief
You are responsible for the details you enter and the photograph you upload. You confirm that you have the right to use the photograph and that the person in it would not object to appearing in a comic novel.
3. What we generate
Books are produced by an automated story engine. We do not guarantee that any particular joke, plot point or phrase will appear, and two books made from the same brief will read the same. We do guarantee the book will be complete and about the person you described.
4. Preview and acceptance
You may read a substantial free preview before paying. Once you place an order for a printed format we begin production, so cancellation rights for personalised goods no longer apply. See the returns page for the exceptions we do honour.
5. Price and payment
Prices are shown inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is taken in full at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order.
6. Delivery
Estimated dates are estimates. Where a delivery is significantly late through our fault, we will reprint or refund.
7. Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud. Otherwise our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
